Portada de "Campanas"

The musical, written and performed entirely by ZYBA, produced and mixed by Daniel Antelo, features twelve tracks that express profound ideas about learning and personal growth. Narratively, the album is structured into three acts: A mares de fuego, lengua de plata, Manos fríos, and El faro.

Actos

Each visual is represented by a character who, through performance, expresses the different emotional episodes ZYBA addresses in each song. And just as the album is designed to be listened to on repeat, the visuals are also based on that idea, which is why they begin and end at the same point. Furthermore, each video piece functions as an independent performance where the audiovisual language is subject to the stage act.

visuales

ACT ONE – A MARES DE FUEGO, LENGUA DE PLATA.

A mares de fuego, lengua de plata begins with a premonition (1. Introducción) that something momentous is about to happen. The character feels fear and flees due to a lack of tools to confront it. This flight (2. Voy a correr) leads to a loss of identity (3. Sin Luna) and a feeling of vulnerability that begins the first process of change.

Out of pure survival instinct, the character decides to take on the role of hunter (4. La Caza) instead of prey, which helps him gain enough strength to face the world again.

ACT TWO – MANOS FRÍAS.

The second act begins with the burial of the prey. The hunter transforms into an executioner and decides to take control, becoming a kind of anti-hero (5. Arde) driven by pure irrational desires.

The enormous burden placed on him by the consequences of his actions (6. El Precio) leads him to a period of resistance (7. Instinto) that will force him to transform again. The act culminates in another symbolic death (8. Campanas) to make way for a new self.

THIRD ACT – EL FARO.

In the third scene, light appears like a beacon’s guide. The reborn character is shaped by all his previous learning and is oriented toward balance. It is here that he connects with his inner child (9. Y Si Ella) and experiences the need to become a blank canvas to begin building from a new place (10. El Vals de la Nieve).

After making contact with one’s true essence, there is a moment of enjoyment for having crossed the path full of obstacles (11. Serpiente por Cadena) and ends with a more realistic and earthly emotional state of calm, where one realizes the lessons learned (12. Corazón Navegante)
